Delete your ATH account
You can delete your account at any time, in the app or on the web. Deleting is permanent and can't be undone.
Sign in with the Apple or Google account you use on ATH. The deletion screen opens right after, and nothing is deleted until you confirm.
How to delete your account
In the ATH app (iPhone and Android)
- Open ATH and sign in.
- Tap your avatar, then Settings.
- Tap Delete account at the bottom.
- Review what will happen, type DELETE and tap Delete my account.
On the web
- Go to ath.trade/delete-account and tap Delete my account, or sign in at ath.trade and open Settings → Delete account.
- Review what will happen, type DELETE and confirm.
For your security, unless you signed in with Apple or Google in the last 10 minutes, we ask you to sign in with them again before deleting.
Before you delete: your money
Your ATH wallets are self-custodial wallets that Privy created for you when you signed in. When you delete your account, we ask Privy to delete your sign-in and its embedded wallets. Anything left in them can then only be recovered with a private key you exported before deleting.
- Withdraw your cash and sell your positions, or export your keys from Manage account → Export keys. Your Solana wallet and your EVM wallet (Base, Robinhood and Ethereum) each have their own private key: export both.
- You can also export them at ath.trade/export-key, signing in with the same Apple or Google account.
- Wait until any withdrawal, swap or card deposit in progress has completed. Anything that arrives after you delete is lost.
What we delete
- Your email address, your Apple or Google sign-in details and your Privy identifier.
- Your profile: username, photo, cover image, bio and social usernames.
- Your posts, comments and the images you uploaded. Each post and comment is replaced by an empty placeholder that shows nothing, so other people's replies keep their place. Reported content is the exception described below.
- Your trades no longer appear in the community feed or on token charts.
- Your reactions, votes, follows (people you follow and people who follow you), favorites and hidden tokens.
- Your price alerts, notification preferences, notifications and the devices registered for push notifications.
- Your passkeys (revoked), your referral details, the notes you wrote on transfers and your usage counters.
We delete this right away, and you are signed out on every device. Copies of your images held by our content delivery network expire within 24 hours. If you sign in again later with the same Apple or Google account, you start a new, empty ATH account.
If you signed in with Apple, you can also remove ATH under Sign in with Apple in your Apple Account settings.
What we keep, and for how long
- Transaction records. Records of swaps, withdrawals, transfers, card deposits, token burns and fees made through ATH. We keep them without your name, email or profile, linked only to the public wallet address, for as long as tax, accounting, anti-fraud and anti-money-laundering laws require.
- Public blockchain data. Your wallet's transactions are public and permanent on the blockchain. They stay there, and in our market data archive like those of any other wallet, without your name, email or profile.
- A deletion record. A keyed fingerprint of your wallet address and the date, used only to show that the deletion happened. It contains no name, email or profile.
- Reported content. If a post, comment, image or profile of yours had an open report, or was hidden by our moderators, when you deleted your account, we keep a restricted copy of it and of its reports, without your email or wallet address, for up to one year. Only our moderators can see it, and we use it only to review the reports and to meet legal obligations, such as reporting child sexual abuse material. After a year we delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
- Backups. Deleted information stays in our backups until they are rotated out. We keep every daily backup for 30 days and one a week for about six months. One backup a month, and a weekly copy of our server files that includes profile photos and post images, are kept in a long-term archive with no set end date. We use backups only to recover ATH after a failure.
The Privacy Policy explains each of these in detail.
